Unfortunately, Projet Montr\u00e9al and the Plante-Rabouin administration have shown a lack of leadership, causing this major and innovative project\u2014driven by its occupants\u2014to stagnate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Ensemble Montr\u00e9al administration will make every effort to secure funding by drawing on government grants, philanthropic contributions, and fundraising campaigns, while establishing a dedicated governance model for the site. Classified as a heritage site by the Government of Qu\u00e9bec, the Cit\u00e9-des-Hospitali\u00e8res stands as a testament to the foundational role of women in the city\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Project at the Crossroads of Heritage, Health, and Culture<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposal put forward by the Religious Hospitallers is supported by committed partners such as Aux trois sentiers, Br\u00e8ches, and the Archives and Collections of the Hospitallers. Together, these current occupants envision giving the Cit\u00e9 a promising and inspiring future for Montr\u00e9al, while honoring its founding mission: to heal, welcome, and inspire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project would include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>community palliative care hub<\/strong>, offering end-of-life care outside a hospital setting;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>space for interdisciplinary creation and dialogue<\/strong> centered on arts, philosophy, spirituality, and social issues;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>heritage interpretation center<\/strong> highlighting the contributions of women and religious communities to Montr\u00e9al\u2019s public health.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Founded by Jeanne Mance, co-founder of Montr\u00e9al, the organization of care for Montr\u00e9alers has been carried out since the 17th century by the Hospitallers of St. Joseph. Since 1871, the Cit\u00e9 has served as both a self-sufficient living environment for hundreds of nuns and as a nursing education site for thousands of Quebec women. Today, it remains a symbol of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s heritage and must be fully recognized for the legacy of compassion and care woven by the visionary women who shaped it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Quotes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Cit\u00e9-des-Hospitali\u00e8res is a site with an exceptional past and an equally promising future for Plateau-Mont-Royal.
